Dental Student Training Program in Durham, NC at Local Start Dental
We welcome qualified dental students from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. Dental students train during clinical rotations. They gain experience using the latest technology, including state-of-the-art Cone Beam imaging in a digital lab. Additionally, they build professional, community, and industry relationships for future practice and use an enterprise system. But the best thing about dental students practicing under qualified supervision at Local Start Dental is that they can help us achieve our Mission—making a difference by restoring smiles and confidence to community members. This is a unique opportunity with the power to shape the trajectory of a dental student’s future practice.

Our Mission is Made Possible Through Community Relationships
In our first year of operation, we:
- Provided dental care to over 1,200 patients in need
- Served as a training ground for over 50 dental students
- Collaborated with over 30 community partners
- Engaged our Advisory Committee of 15 dental professionals
